Partnerships with NGOs & Civil Society

Non-governmental organizations

Since its founding, SICT has sought to collaborate with civil society partners such as NGOs, which have allowed it to advance its ideals and the implementation of its activities and programmes. Over the years, SICT has built up a valuable network of cooperation with NGOs having an expertise across its fields of competence. Cooperation with NGOs takes place in many forms, at various levels and to different degrees: it encompasses research, data collection, advocacy, knowledge sharing and project implementation, and contributes to consolidating common values and priorities linked to SICT's mission.

Global Council (World NGO Day - February 27)

The Global Council is the advisory body for World NGO Day (February 27), uniting civil society leaders, executives, entrepreneurs, academics, and political figures who are committed to advancing the cause and preserving the legacy of this global day worldwide.

World NGO Day was first recognized in 2010 by 12 Baltic Sea Forum countries, endorsed again in Berlin, Germany in 2012, and officially launched globally in 2014 in Helsinki, Finland with support from the UN and EU. Since 2017, the European Union’s Diplomatic Service (EEAS) has marked it annually with official international statements highlighting its global importance.

Official partnership with NGOs

The establishment of an official partnership is a mutual commitment to cooperate and work together in the Organization’s fields of competence, while embracing and upholding SICT’s ideals and values. It is often the recognition of an already established relationship, including a record of effective cooperation and/or prior identification of synergies between SICT and the organization concerned.

Consultative Status

Designed to enable the Organization to establish and maintain flexible and dynamic partnerships with NGOs active in its fields of competence.

Promoting Inclusive Quality Education

Through various initiatives, SICT supports underprivileged children in completing their primary and secondary education. The foundation prioritizes inclusive, quality education aimed at empowering children to become informed, compassionate, and competent global citizens. SICT's efforts have touched the lives of children residing in homes and institutions across India and continue to expand to reach more in need.
